# 1) Platinum– Shopping in platinum means getting all the new fashionable and trendy clothes! You can buy clothings for any event whether its party wear, casual wear or a costume for some event.

# 2) Central World– You can find all the brand and local stores here. From the latest trending MNG, Zara, Espirit, to Forever 21, Bossini, Miss Sixty, and Gap. There is countless number of stores of all sorts of clothings!

# 3) Terminal 21– Being a new mall, Terminal 21 has already reached out to touch people’s hearts! Terminal 21 is a mall dedicated with each floor to ladies, men, accessories, shoes, bags, and many more! There are branded clothes and also promotion going on in many of the stores. The best thing about it is that they have latest and unique clothes!

Shopping malls best for ENTERTAINMENT:   

# 1) The Mall (Bangkapi)- It has Major Cineplex, Bowling, Karaoke, Water Park, and about 5 photo studios including the famous U-smile Photo, Photo Hut, and B-Mine. Can you name any other mall that has all these entertainments back to back?

# 2) Esplanade– It has a great ice skating rink which is the best out of all other malls. You can even have birthday parties or lunch in the Sub Zero Ice Skating! It also has Major Bowl, Karaoke, and is a great hangout place!

# 3) Central World-you find everything there! Central World also has ice skating and a great SF World Cinema with 15 screens of supreme and normal ones. It is one of the most popular hangout places amongst the youngsters! Depending on the occasion, there is always something going on in Central World!

Shopping malls best for BUYING ELECTRONICS:

# 1) Planthip Plaza– It is considered the king of all electronics devices. You can find anything electronic overthere from laptops, computers, i-pads, cameras, to external cords, mini chips, USB.

# 2) Emporium– While buying electronics, you want to make sure that the piece is good and you are getting guarantee on it. Emporium is reliable and has the latest products as it is one of the best department stores in Thailand. However, you might find it more expensive than other department stores.

# 3) MBK– It’s famous amongst tourists and locals as MBK have things that other malls don’t have.  Buying phones there are famous as they have great ranges of prices that may surprise you. The whole top two floors are dedicated to electronics.

Shopping malls best for HANGOUTS AND GIFTS:  

# 1) Terminal 21– It is definitely a great place to hangout and have some fun visiting street-like floors of different countries. It has very unique stores of gifts and other things that other malls don’t have.

# 2) K-Village– It has a nice surrounding just like a small town to roam around. It has some different stores like Daiso, Rebecca, and I-dress where you might get to try something new.

Thinking of Emporium is like thinking of brands, brands, and brands. There is no doubt that Emporium is one of the most famous shopping complexes and is well known for having almost all the international brands. From Chanel to Armani, Hermes to DKNY, Espirit to AIIZ, and many more. Emporium has the world’s most famous brands, other international brands, and young designer’s brands.  If you are brand crazy, then Emporium is like your hometown.

Location: Emporium is in Sukhumvit soi 24, right at Phrom Phrong Station if you take the BTS

Emporium always has decoration based on a theme at the entrance, according to the event happening such as Christmas, Valentine’s Day, or any other. If Emporium has a sale, there is always a poster on the building showing the discount. So, anytime you pass by, make sure to see when and how much discount Emporium is having as you might get lucky. The first floor as well keeps on having sale for gifts and decorations or any other items according to the occasion.

Apart from branded shops, Emporium also has great music stores and book stores. There is Asia Books and a huge collection of Kinokuniya as well as Eastbourne music store. If you go to Emporium and don’t go to the Jamboree land, then you are definitely missing something. No matter how grown up you are, you still always have a desire of playing the arcade games and gaining points for a price. Actually, Jamboree land used to be wider, with much more variety before than now. I used to go there every Saturday, however, now there are fewer games than before. At least it still has some games which certainly attract the kids and that is why it is always packed with children to teens. Near Jamboree land, there’s a great collection of golf and sport equipments. Emporium also has an internet café if you get bored and want to surf the net for a while or just want to check your facebook notifications.

You can also get all gadgets such as phones, laptops, computers, ipod—all in Power Mall which is in the fourth floor. There is also this shop name BE trend which is the best place for buying gifts for anyone as there is collection of cards, soft toys, frames, stationary, and unique gifts like the Oscar award for best friend or best mom. This section is on the fourth floor and it’s really amazing the type of unusual gifts they have. Another unique shop for gifts or even for your own decoration is Propaganda which is right next to Asia Books. Propaganda has some really bizarre and cute items. Instead of buying the same boring gifts, you can give your friend something small but special

If you are an art person, then you would really want to visit the art gallery in Emporium.

The fifth floor has a gourmet market along with Starbucks, Burger King, Swensons and many more restaurants to eat. If you want to eat the local Thai food then you could also go to the food court where there are several noodle and other famous Thai food stalls. At the same floor, on the other side, there is a huge collection of furniture and kitchen appliances. Last but not the least, Emporium has SF cinema city for movies on the top floor.

Plantip Plaza : Find the best one

Do you need a new laptop or a printer? A hard drive? Well, you just have to go to Plantip Plaza and you’ll find it all there, at one place. When you first enter there, you realize that how far technology is because there are so many stores with all these new items. The entire building is dedicated to computers and technology items.  Plantip has all computer related gadgets such as printers, hard disks, i-Pod, mp3, cameras, and many more. Plantip is really famous for its cheap forge DVDs, softwares, games, that you can buy easily on the first floor, near the entrance. There are several movie shops at the entrance from which you can buy, however, some shops actually have bad copies depending on the movie. If the movie is out new, then it will most likely be a bad copy, but if it’s been quite a while, then the copy might be good.

If you go to Plantip plaza, it is always really crowded, especially on Sundays. It would be better if you could go on a week day.

My advice would be to first look around all the shops and compare the prices for what you are buying, because you can find a huge difference between the shop on the first floor and the one at the third floor. Each item has at least more than five shops as an option. Bargaining would surely work in Plantip because there’s so much competition with different range of price in different shops.

Plantip Plaza also has all the brand centers such as Acer, HP, Sony, Samsung, and more where you can check your computers if there’s  any problem.  One really good thing about Plantip is that it has particular shops for particular items, such as Sony store especially for cameras, VAIO for their computers, Acer computer shops, and there are also regular shops with variety of items. These shops actually have a lot cheaper price than others, but the product’s quality may not be reliable.

There is so much variety and selections that sometimes you can go crazy deciding on which to choose. You feel really tempted to buy them. Well, even if you don’t know much about computers and other related devices, Plantip can give you an idea of the ranks between the qualities depending upon the its prize and functions. If you have a certain brand in your mind that you want to buy from, Plantip will definitely have it because it has almost all brands.

The IT City, which is at the top floor, is probably the best place to buy your device because it seems to be more reliable. The weird part is that sometimes when you are buying a computer from the first floor, they send you to the IT to buy it as it is actually the same thing, that’s why it probably a good idea to just look around down and buy your gadget upstairs. The IT City gives you warranty plus sometimes you get a bag along or some software for free. If anything goes wrong with your laptop or printer, then you can go to them for exchanging the product into a new one, but only within a week. IT City has all the brands laid up on the floor which gives you a lot of options as you compare and see which one you want.

Plantip Plaza is really the best place to go for buying a computer or printer and many more. Many people usually recommend Plantip plaza as the best place for shopping devices.
