Esplanade is famous for its Sub Zero Ice Skating Rink where there is a spacious place for you to try out your ice skating skills. Even if you don’t know how to skate, it’s not a problem because there are side bars to hold on to with which you can practice. Professionals do hang out there to practice their skills, but at the same time beginners can try out without any hesitation on the rink because the rink is not that slippery and is maintained properly for controlling balance. The Sub Zero Ice Skating is one of the few ice skating rinks in Thailand and the one in Esplanade is much better than the one in Central World.
The Sub Zero Ice Skating provides you with the skates at the counter, but you need to bring your own jacket and socks to wear inside. However, they have socks and other equipments inside, but you would have to buy them. Honestly, it’s not really cold inside and you actually get to feel the winter moment, but wearing a jacket would be considerate so that when you fall on the ice, you won’t get hurt.
In case you are hungry, there is a shop of snacks and drinks to fill your stomach right inside the Sub Zero. You can even order your lunch or dinner over there. In fact, the Sub Zero Ice Skating provides promotion for birthday parties depending on the number of people, and in the promotion, you would get few dishes and more time for skating within the time limit. However, make sure that you come out of the rink at the time you are given otherwise there are extra charges taken, which are charged per minute.

Mostly shopping areas are found around Sukhumvit, but Esplanade is in Ratchadaphisek Road which is an advantage for people living in that area as they will not have to go all the way to the malls in Sukhumvit to buy clothes or watch a film.
There are varieties of dine and fast food bistro such as McDonalds, KFC, Auntie Annie, Sizzler, Mister Donut, Coffee World, Starbucks, and a whole lot more. There are so many more restaurants as well including all: Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, Chinese and more.
As for clothes, there are many branded, fashionable clothes such as Puma, Adidas, Rip Curl, and many more. Most of the shops seem to have quite reasonable prices. There are also non-branded clothes sold that are usually on sale, at the first floor. You can also find electronic shops in Esplanade which include Sony, Nokia, Samsung, Apple, and more. Esplanade is also very well known for its music shop that has the latest arcade games sold.
Apart from its shopping, Esplanade also has a Karaoke room, Major Bowl, and Cinema for entertainment. Esplanade is an amusing place for hanging out with your friends or family.
